Many times we Windows post Course Centre for which taking ownership and full permission to assign a specific registry key. Although we provide detailed steps to do this task in all our tutorials, some people find it difficult to take ownership of registry keys.
Recently when we an email from one of our reader asks how to authorize a user full on a registry key in Windows, we have decided to create a special article about it.
So today in this article we will take a step-by-step guide with screenshots which will teach you how to take ownership and full permissions to assign a registry key.
So without wasting time, let's begin the tutorial:
1. Type regedit in RUN or start menu searchbox, and then press Enter. It will open Registry Editor.
2. Now scroll to the desired registry key, right-click it and select "permissions ..." option.

3. it opens a new dialog box. Click on the button "Advanced".

4. now go to "owner" tab, select your user name, and then click apply . If you also take ownership of the sub key, select the option "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects".

5. select your user name in the first dialog box now andallowcheck "to" given for "full control" option.

6. that's it. Click apply and OK buttons, and now you have full permission for the registry key.
