We here at AskVG love the new Metro ui introduced by Microsoft in Windows Phone 7 and 8 for Windows. Are clean, minimal and easy on the eyes.
There are so many 3rd party software and skins available that this Metro UI have implemented and we have shared many of them in the past:
Today we are going to a Desktop Sidebar for Windows Vista and 7 that Metro feel on your Windows desktop sharing.
You can use the sidebar in action in the following screenshot:
When you "Metro Sidebar" run for the first time, it asks you to set the background color and favorite browser to select. You can set them later using the icon in the notification area.
To exit the navigation column, right-click the icon in the notification area and select Exit.
Since it is the first version of the Sidebar, it provides very limited functionality. We hope that the developer will be adding more features and gadgets in future versions.
