How to Restore confirmation dialog Prompt in Windows Vista and 7 delete?

Note: This tutorial is old and was posted for Windows Vista. It is now updated with Windows 7 as well.

When you try to open a software using Control Panel-> programs and features in Windows Vista or 7to delete, you see a dialog box in Windows to confirm your choice, as shown in the following screenshot:

The dialog box also contains a checkbox that allows you to save your choice for the future and if you select the check box, and then click Yes or no button, Windows will remember your choice and will never show the confirmation dialog box prompt delete.

Once you do this, you'll have left no way to recover from the confirmation window.

Today in this tutorial you will learn a simple way to recover from the message window, if you accidentally the checkbox "In the future don't give me this dialog" selected while clicking Yes or no.

So without wasting time, let's begin the tutorial:

1. Type regedit in RUN or Start menu search box and press Enter. It will open the Registry Editor.

2. now navigate to following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DontShowMeThisDialogAgain

3. In the right pane, look for the following String value:

{948e51fb-0a48-44f0-86ac-33c36def540c}

It would be Noset. It removes or modifies the Yesvalue.

4. that's it. You now get the box delete confirmation prompt back.

Today we are excited to give you a sneak peek at the next step in private cloud computing by showing you just two of hundreds of new features coming in the next version of Windows Server, internally code-named "Windows Server 8".

At 36: 50 of this online video we show you how Windows Server 8 virtual machines will help you build private clouds of larger scale to support (at least) 16 virtual processors fully loaded with business critical workloads such as SQL Server. Then we show you how you can deliver better fault tolerance and flexibility, without the added tax or the complexity of additional hardware, tools, and software licenses, using the new built-in Replica of Hyper-V -function. How do I get the good old Classic Chat Interface back in Facebook?

Almost all Facebook users complain about new Chat sidebar on the right side Facebook in pages appears.

[Guide] How can owner (consent) of a file or folder manually in Windows?

We here at AskVG post different themes, customize skins and other things which you replace or modify existing system files in Windows. You must take ownership of that file or folder before you change or replace.

We recommend to use always take ownership after automatically using context menu option method:

But sometimes people complain that they are not able to take ownership of the file, and we suggest they can the owner manual.

Since the owner be manually is a bit complicated task, today we are going to post a detailed manual with screenshots which you taking ownership and full consent for yourself of a file or folder in Windows will help.

So without wasting time, here are the steps that are required:

1. go to the folder where the file or folder you want to take ownership of. Right-click the file or folder, and Properties select.

2. it will open its property sheet. Now go to "Security" tab and select your user name in the given list. You can see that the entire control does not have.

3. clickAdvanced"" button and go toowner"" tab. You'll see that the owner would be set to "TrustedInstaller".

4. clickEdit"" button, select your user name given in "new owner" section and clickApply"" button. It will ask for confirmation, click on OK button.

5. Exit of both dialog boxes and property back to the first window of the properties. Now select your user name again and click on the button "Edit". It will open a new window:

Select your user name, and then clickallow"" checkbox for "full control" option. Click "Apply" button, and then click OK. It will ask for confirmation, click the Yes button.

6. that's it. Now you have full permission on the file or folder.

Now you can change or replaced without any problem. Before doing anything, first Take a backup of the file by the rename to another name.

"Microsoft Camera Codec Pack" to enable RAW format support in Windows Explorer, and Windows Live Photo Gallery download

If you are the owner of a DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera, you would know about RAW photo format. If you do not know, let explain it to you.

RAW format is the uncompressed output of each of the original pixels on the image sensor of the camera. RAW files have several advantages over JPEG files including higher image quality, finer control and more image information. Think of them as large, digital negatives waiting to be processed.

Dealing with raw images on Windows is not always easy but now some good news. Microsoft announced today that Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011 now supports raw images format. Just download the Microsoft Camera Codec Pack for Windows 7 and Vista to raw photo files from more than 120 DSLR cameras view in Photo Gallery, as well as in Windows Explorer.

Photo Gallery will also edit copies of your raw images support. If you modify a raw recording, Photo Gallery creates a copy of the raw original and converts it to JPEG or the far superior format JPEG-XR (HD Photo). With JPEG-XR, everything from the quality of the raw original is there so you can refine by edit different effects. You can fix red eye, removing stains, or adaptations to the detailed image with confidence knowing that your original raw file is safe. When you make your raw files used for the construction of an amazing panoramic stitch or photo Fuse, a new file is generated and you will get an even higher quality result than before.

With the new codec pack, Windows will now support viewing and editing of a wide range of image file formats including raw, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and more. [FIX] Error while burning 46 GB of data on BD-R Dual Layer Disc or 23 GB of data on BD-R Single Layer disc in Windows 7

Have you ever tried to burn 46 GB of data to a BD-R dual layer disc or 23 GB of data on BD-R single layer disk in Windows 7? So yes, you most likely receive following error message:

The disk was not successfully burned. Make sure you have the latest firmware for your CD or DVD burner installed, and then try again.

Actually its a known issue in Windows 7 and Microsoft has announced that it officially on the Microsoft support Web site.

SYMPTOM:

When you try to burn 46 GB of data to a BD-R Dual Layer disc, or 23 GB to a BD-R Single Layer disc in master mode, the process fails and you receive the following error message:

"The disk was not successfully burned. Make sure you have the latest firmware for your CD or DVD burner installed, and then try again. "

CAUSE:

This problem occurs because Windows 7 writing capacity of BD-R not correctly calculated.

SOLUTION:

To work around this problem, try not to write more than 22 GB of data to a BD-R Single Layer disk or 45 GB for a BD-R Dual Layer disc.

Wow. Even Microsoft don't have a working solution for it except to ignore or do not exceed the limit ...

If you Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 or 2010 is installed in your system and now you want to uninstall but unable to uninstall from Control Panel, here is a solution for you.

Microsoft has released a new Fixit to help you in the Office suite to remove from your system.

Problem-symptom:

Sometimes you can not remove the existing Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 or 2010 suite on your computer using the function of the to add or remove programs in Control Panel of Windows XP or programs and features in Control Panel for Windows Vista and 7 as one of the following conditions are met:

The installation process is not completed when you tried to install a new program. Therefore, you are with a partly installed program. Mozilla is working "boat with Gecko" (B2G) Project, new OS based on Firefox Gecko Engine

It seems that Mozilla is working on a new open source OS to battle Google Chrome OS.

On Mozilla's Developer Google Group, was following announcement done recently:

We suggest a project that we call "boat with Gecko" (B2G) for the purpose of the building a complete, standalone operating system for the open web. It's going to work on some areas require.

New web APIs: build prototype APIs exposing device and OS capabilities to content (telephony, SMS, Camera, USB, Bluetooth, NFC, etc.)Privilege model: to ensure that these new capabilities can be safely exposed to pages and applicationsBooting: prototype a low-level substrate for an Android-compatible deviceapplications: and choose port or build apps to prove out and prioritizing of the power of the system

We will work in the open, we will release the source in real time, we will all successful additions to a group of appropriate standards and we will keep track of changes made from that process. We don't try to have this native-grade apps just run on Firefox, we're trying to run on the web.

This project is in its infancy; Some pieces of it are recorded only in our heads today, others are not fully explored. We talk about it now because we want expertise of entire Mozilla and of people who are not yet part of Mozilla to inform and build the project, we're here outlined.

Right-click ReplaceThis: Free portable utility to replace system files in Windows 7

Most of the time when we want to Windows customize look, we have existing Windows system files are replaced with new files that we download from various websites or we make after changing the default files.

Replacing the existing system files, we must first owner of the file with the following tutorial:

All you need to download the file, extract it with WinRAR or 7-Zip and then run the EXE file. You will be on the button to install or uninstall. Click on "install" button and it will add after 2 options in context menu file:

Just right-click a file that you want to replace, and select "Replace this" option. He will be a loading dialog box and lets you choose a file to the selected file to replace.

If you "replace" option is selected, it will load a dialog box and lets you choose a file to be replaced by the selected file.

Today we want to share a small portable utility "Windows 8 Desktop watermark" created by AskVG reader and member of the Group of AskVGyvidhiatamaDA "". This free tool shows the same watermark that appears in Windows 8 test builds on Windows 7 Desktop.

You need to download the extract RAR file with WinRAR or 7-Zip and run the EXE file. In Windows 7 Desktop it'll show the watermark from Windows 8.

Today we are going to another freeware "Pulmon" live tiles similar to Windows 8 Start screen on Windows 7 Desktop bringsparts. This free and portable tool is created by "Paras Sidhu", a 13-year-old developer from India.

To use, you only need to download the RAR file with WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract and enter Pulmon .exe file. On the screen will show the main window.

You just have to click on a tile to Desktop to add. Once you have added the tiles, click "move to Tray" button to hide main window. At any time, you can open by double-clicking the system tray icon.

If you want to remove a tile, again open the program window, and then click the tile are present in "Tiles" section.

It is very easy to use. Currently provides the following tiles:

Right-click Context Menu Adder: free utility to add program shortcut in Windows 7 Desktop context menu

We have posted a detailed tutorial in the past that you program your desired favourite a shortcut in Windows 7 add Desktop context menu so that you can program quickly and easily by just right-click on the desktop:

Today we are going to share another free and portable utility "right click Context Menu Adder" created by "AskVGGromasreader" that lets you update your favorite application shortcut in Windows 7 Desktop context menu add without the Windows registry.

You only need the free utility run and either type the program path you want or browse and select the .exe file. You can also choose an icon for the shortcut that is optional. You can use the same .exe file for the icon select also. The tool does not show preview of the icon if you EXE or dll file, but the icon will successfully apply.

You can also set the shortcut in the context menu.

If you want to create the hidden shortcut and have them display when you press "SHIFT" key while right-clicking on the desktop, select the option 'Show only when the SHIFT key was pressed'.

Finally a name that you want the shortcut, and then click "Add to Context Menu" button. It will show "added!" message in statusbar.

If you remove the shortcut from Desktop context menu, go to "remove items from menu" tab, select the shortcut, and then clickRemove"" button.

We generally click on Maximize button in a window titlebar to maximize the window but did you know you can double click on the window titlebar to maximize it quickly?

Almost everyone clicks on Close button present in window titlebar to close the window. Some power users use keyboard shortcut "ALT + F4" to close the window but did you know you can double click on the program's icon shown at the extreme left of the window titlebar to close the window?

You can Press "ALT" Key While Drag-n-Drop a File or Folder to Create Shortcut?

Above mentioned both tricks allow you to either move or copy the file or directory but did you know you can create a shortcut of the file or folder in the destination folder instead of moving or copying it by pressing "ALT" key while drag-n-drop the file or folder?

You can Reveal Hidden Secret Options in Context Menu by Pressing "SHIFT" Key?

Windows Vista and 7 contain some secret context menu items which are normally hidden but can be accessed by pressing "SHIFT" key while right-clicking. So just press "SHIFT" key when you right-click on Desktop, file, directory or empty space in Explorer and you'll be able to access some secret options in context menu which are normally not shown.

As you can see in following screenshot, "Open in new process" and "Open command window here" options are enabled in drive's context menu because we pressed "SHIFT" key while right-clicking on it:

When you right-click on a program button in Windows 7 Superbar (Taskbar), the default jumplist is shown but did you know you can press "SHIFT" key while right-clicking on the program button and Windows will show classic context menu instead of new jumplist?

Press "ALT" key and double-click on a file, folder or drive and it'll open its Properties. You can press "ESC" key to quickly close a dialog box.Press "CTRL" key and double click on a folder or drive and it'll open it in a new window.Press "SHIFT" key and click on a program button in the Taskbar and it'll open a new instance of the same program.

For Firefox users, many functions that were once offered by Google Toolbar for Firefox is already built into the browser. Therefore, while Google Toolbar for Firefox works on Firefox versions up to and including 4 alone, it will not be supported in future versions Firefox 5 and.

That is true that many Google toolbar features such as searchbox, spell check, etc are built into Firefox but what about other useful features such as page translation, Auto-fill, page sharing, Gmail notifier, etc?

Click on the "Recycle Bin" at the top to tab Vault trash. A tab that you delete from the main list will appear here until you clear the list. As with Opera closed Tabs, click an item in the list to undelete it, or click Clear list of closed tabs clearing the list.
